Frank Giacobbe drew from his 25-year experience in the commercial real estate industry to found Whittemore Capital. Over the past 25 years Frank has been involved in the structuring of more than $3 billion in Commercial Real Estate (CRE) financing and whole loan portfolio evaluations, purchases, and sales. During this time, he has earned the trust and respect of both owners and developers. Whittemore Capital represents the top executives of the major capital providers in the industry.
As a former banker, Frank brings a unique insider’s understanding of the lending industry. He has nurtured creative solutions for consummating loan transactions and fostering equity ventures. Frank’s tenacity and hands-on problem-solving approach has earned Whittemore its reputation as one of the leaders in commercial real estate financing today.
Frank sets the strategic direction for the firm and has instilled a culture of relationship, diligence, innovation, execution, and simple hard work, in order to deliver excellent results at Whittemore Capital. Frank’s tenacity and creativity combined with his knowledge of CRE finance as well as financial institutions regulatory and balance sheet issues, have helped Whittemore close many financings that may not have happened otherwise. Frank started his career in 1997 at M&T Bank working on commercial loans. In 2001, Frank began a ten-year employment at Largo Capital where he was one of the top producers in the company. Prior to founding Whittemore Capital, Frank was a principal at Aurora Capital Advisors. As one of the owners at Aurora Capital, Frank assisted in the closing of over $5 billion in real estate transactions. Frank is a licensed real estate broker and has an MBA from Canisius College.
